   Byron Bay Gliding Terms & Conditions

            PLEASE READ CAREFULLY


  1. A flight confirmation or gift voucher entitles you to participate in a gliding flight with Byron Bay Gliding or one of our affiliates. Please phone our central booking office for any information or bookings. Call 02 66 84 7572 or 0423 787 398. Office hours are 8am to 5pm, seven days.
  2. The voucher is non-refundable.
  3. The booking or voucher is transferable to another person. Please confirm transfer details with the office.
  4. If another gift voucher is to be issued there will be a $15.00 administration fee.
  5. No cancelation within 24 hours from the flight time. If you cancel your flight within 24 hours, the full amount of the flight is due.
  6. If you cancel your flight more than 3 days in advance, their is no fees.
  7. If you cancel your flight within 3 days of your flight time, a $50.00 fee apply.
  8. If you cancel your flight within 24 hours,  the full amount for the flight is due. no refund.
  9. If your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, you are welcome to rebook at no extra administration fee.
  10. Gliding flights are completely dependant upon the weather and are regulated by Civil Aviation Safety Regulations. It may be necessary to postpone a flight at any time if in our judgement, the conditions are not suitable.
  11. We reserve the right to cancel  a flight at any time up to the moment of launch.
  12. A gift voucher remains valid for 6 months from date of issue.
  13. If you do not arrive in time for the flight and you miss it, or are a "no show" the booking is forfeited and no rebooking or refund will be made.
  14. Personal Belongings such as cameras and sunglasses are taken aboard at your own risk.
  15. You are required to inform the pilot of any pre-existing injuries or conditions prior to your flight. Byron Bay Gliding will not be responsible for any occurrence due to a lack of disclosure.
  16. Children under 5 years old are ineligible to fly.
  17. Women who are 12 weeks or more pregnant are advised not to fly by CASA guidelines.
  18. If you ask for a TANDEM flight, we may NOT be able to do it at the time of your booking. In this case we will fly the passengers one after the other.
  19. We carry Air Carriers Liability Act Insurance up to $500,000 per passenger, and $4,000,000 combined single limit legal liability. If you require more insurance, please see your broker.
  20. By entering Byron Bay Gliding Club or one of our aircraft you are accepting that you are operating under Byron Bay Gliding Air Operators Certificate, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Australia. (Other affiliate operators will have their own registration system).
  21. All VOUCHERS are VALID until 05-01-2010!
